Prophethood is a divine position. This Position also gives the Prophet a leadership position in his community. Getting this leadership position is a carrot for many charlatans like Bab and Baha to falsely claim the divine status of Prophethood.
It is therefore necessary that the true Prophets present a divine miracle from the side of God which establishes their identity as a true prophet. A miracle helps the people distinguish between a true prophet and a false one since a miracle cannot be displayed by a false claimant of Prophethood.
The Holy Quran also highlights this point in the following verse :
Let him then bring us a Sign like the ones that were sent to (Prophets) of old! (Surah Anbiya: Verse 5)
Thus just as all Previous Prophets brought a miracle as a proof for their claim of Prophethood, any new claim of Prophethood should also be accompanied by a miracle.
Amongst the many miracles of the Last Divine Prophet Mohammad(PBUH), the one which is presented specifically as a proof of his everlasting Prophethood is the Holy Quran.
A pseudo prophet will never be able to show a miracle and his lies will be exposed by what he tries to pass off a miracle as is the case of Bab and Baha.
The books of Bayan and Aqdas put forth by both of them as a proof and miracle of their veracity on the contrary is an evidence of their fabrication. Both are replete with numerous grammatical errors exposing the utter ignorance behind their compilation.
